The Delivery

The role reported to the Met Police Property Services Division and involved managing all feasibility designs and submitting grant applications ensuring all Met Police, MOPAC and public sector processes are followed.

We chair the programme team and provide monthly progress and financial reporting through the grant funding relationship managers ensuring all conditions are met. The initiative provides grants to public sector organisations to implement energy saving and carbon reducing technologies in their buildings.

The programmes are up to two years long and Midmer have been retained for 2 programmes to date.

We manage all framework consultants, suppliers and contractors to deliver the works to an agreed programme and budget. It is vital to maintain 24/7 access at all Met Police sites and therefore all works need to be carefully planned to minimise any disruption to their daily operations.

Achievements

With our involvement, the Met achieved the largest grant application under Salix PSDS 3B scheme and the organisation and delivery of the decarbonisation programme has been seen as a 'best in class' approach and delivery within the Met Police.

This has been due to the organisation, teamworking and communication, whilst under strict timescales, operational limitations and robust governance with all work has been completed in accordance with the Met lifecycle delivery process.
